Background : The President of the DMD Company established his first operation in 1977. Prior to this, Mr.PRAYOON TAYCHATHANYAKUL, had been selling spare parts for the automobile industry mainly for trucks. Mr.PRAYOON saw an increased sales of motorcycles and the need for the spare parts expanding as well and decided to enter this business avenue. He first rented a building, bought some machines, hired foreign experts and started production of motorcycle parts. Within years the family proved to be successful and leased one more factory building and made rather large profits within a flourishing market despite heavy competition. The original business was kept until 1994, when it was then sold. The company mainly to produces to order and major customers were/are YAMAHA and SUZUKI, assembling the motorcycles here in Thailand. The profits made were used to establish a strong financial basis and in 1986-87 the owners decided to purchase land and construct their own factory. DECHO MOULD & DIE-CASTING CO., LTD (DMD) was formed in 1988. Prior to this the family had however several year of the previous experience within the business area. The company has position itself as one of the leading producers in Thailand of high Quality die-casting and mould products for the automotive industry and mainly motorcycles, mostly based on an aluminum and the die-casting process. The factory can also produce based on zinc. However products for other industries can be manufactured. The purposed of the company is then to provide the customers with attractive, high quality and safe products. The customers are primarily very manufacturers of motorcycles and automotive units. Domestic mainly, such as YAMAHA,SUZUKI,HONDA,YANMAR and HITACHI,etc.
